My take on boundaries. Something I used to NOT have.
It’s not that I have to put up a BIG sign or tell someone, “I’m setting a boundary with you.”
It’s about taking steps to take care of myself in a situation or with a person. Perhaps, it’s leaving the situation or creating space from the relationship. It could be asking for what I need. I may not get it, but I get to as-. There’s self-care in asking for what I need. It’s also an opportunity to get clear about my wants and needs.
And, it really is truly amazing, when I take care of myself, the Universe responds by taking care of me. It may not be exactly what I thought I wanted, but it is most definitely what I need.
Setting boundaries is simply asking myself “ how can I take care of myself in this situation or with this person?”, then allowing my inner guidance to provide me with the answer.Top
